A Rixford man was cited in Livingston County, New York, after sheriff’s deputies found 13 bags of heroin and about three grams of cocaine in his car — even though the drugs weren’t his.
The sheriff’s office says 21-year-old Lucas Kerr was stopped at 8:14 p.m. in the Town of Avon for a vehicle code violation, and they soon learned that his driving privileges had been suspended in New York. They then searched his car and found the drugs.
But his passenger, 27-year-old Andrew Crowner of Wellsville, admitted the drugs were his. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and sent to jail on $1,500 cash bail.
Kerr was issued a tickets for unlicensed operation of a vehicle and for having an inadequate muffler. He was also cited for having marijuana.
