The Buffalo Sabres fell Monday afternoon to the Washington Capitals 3-2. Kyle Okposo spoiled the shutout bid with 7:18 left and Evander Kane tallied with four seconds for the Sabres. Backup goalie Chad Johnson made 27 saves for Buffalo. Sabres coach Phil Housley was pleased with his team’s overall performance in a close loss to the high flying Caps following a sloppy 4-2 loss to the LA Kings on Saturday.
