The Winnipeg Jets dumped the Buffalo Sabres Sunday 3-1. The Jets, who lead the Central Division with 73 points, were outshot by the Sabres 36 to 28, but won. Jack Eichel scored the lone goal for the Sabres who failed to win in consecutive games for the first time since December 13. The Sabres missed a chance to gain ground in the race for the Eastern Conference final playoff spot. Buffalo remains 10th, two points behind Pittsburgh and a point behind Carolina.
