Police say a 26 year-old Buffalo man, who was discovered last Friday morning dead in an old rail yard off North Main Street in Salamanca, stabbed himself to death. Police originally investigated the death as a homicide, but the death has been ruled a suicide. Police chief Troy Westfall says the manner of death was “very different” from most suicides, but they are confident it was a suicide, noting that the man had health issues. The man was found dead on the ground next to his vehicle in the former train yard of the Erie Railroad.
