The National Weather Service in Buffalo confirmed that a third tornado touched down in Western New York Thursday afternoon.
The EF1 tornado hit in the Town of Angelica in Allegany County at about 1:40 p.m. with an estimated maximum wind speed of 95 mph. The maximum path width was 300 feet.
Several houses were damaged, and a barn was destroyed. Smaller outbuildings were tipped and moved, and numerous large trees were shredded and downed.
The National Weather Service had already confirmed that an EF2 tornado struck in Hamburg and an EF1 in Holland Thursday afternoon.
The Hamburg tornado did extensive damage to the Erie County Fairgrounds, where the fair is scheduled to start August 9.
