A power outage this morning left 4,400 First Energy customers in the dark — some for almost three hours.
Scott Surgeoner of First Energy says the outage started at 9:52 a.m. and most customers had their power back by 12:42 p.m. Some customers had power on and off during that time. Anyone who still doesn’t have power should have it back by 3 p.m.
He says they don’t know yet what caused the outage.
The first power outage of the day was at 12:15 a.m., and Surgeoner says that was caused by a failed insulator on a main feeder line.
2,700 customers were without power for about 45 minutes.
