Police picked up three people Friday evening in connection to the high speed car chase that started in Bradford Thursday and ended on the top of Rew Hill, when the driver managed to elude police.
29-year-old James Bunce and 42-year-old Cliff Causer were both wanted for absconding from state parole supervision in Erie. 37-year-old Abby Windsor was arrested for harboring a fugitive.
The initial chase started at about 2:20 Thursday afternoon near Woodlawn Avenue, where Windsor lives. The car was traveling at around 90 mph on South Kendall Avenue during the chase. At 7:16 Friday night officers were on patrol on East Main Street and saw Bunce in the passenger seat of a car, and tried to pick him up in the parking lot behind Hamlin bank. He got out of the car and ran toward the woods behind the bank. Police ran after him and caught him within minutes.
After that, police learned Causer may be at the home of Windsor, who he’s in a relationship with. When they got to her apartment, Causer was attempting to escape out the back of the apartment.
Causer was sent to McKean County Jail on a detainer from state parole, and with charges in connection to the high speed chase pending. Bunce was sent to jail on $10,000 cash bail. Windsor was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
