Three venomous snakes were taken from a home in the Village of Allegany yesterday.
Law enforcement executed a search warrant for the reptiles around 7 o’clock Thursday morning and were on-site for over 10 hours. Three venomous cobras were taken from the property and are currently in the care of the Buffalo zoo.
Charges are pending against a man whose name has not yet been released. Venomous snakes are illegal to own in New York.
Mercy Flight and an ambulance were on the scene in case anyone was bitten by one of the snakes, but no one was injured.
The Department of Environmental Protection says that the matter remains under investigation and details will be made available at a later date.
