Tornado Briefly Touches Down in West Seneca


The National Weather Service says that a thunderstorm, which moved through Western New York early Saturday afternoon, spawned an EF0 tornado which touched down in West Seneca.  The maximum wind speeds were between 65 to 75 mph and caused damage to an apartment building.  The storm initially started as a brief waterspout that moved over the Buffalo Small Boat Harbor and along a path until the Town of West Seneca.  The funnel cloud was on the ground for almost .20 of a mile.
