Warren Man Imprisoned After 13 Years

A Warren man has been sent to state prison 13 years after being sentenced, and may be facing other charges in the near future.

55 year old Jeffrey Colin Rogers was sentenced in absentia in 2005 to 18 months to seven years on DUI and related charges, but never served time because he wasn’t taken into custody until this February.

Rogers was also sentenced on Friday to 12 months to five years on additional DUI charges dating back to 2005, and was informed that the U.S. Attorney’s office intended to file more charges, although court records do not show the latest charges as having been filed yet.

Hammond was also assessed fines and fees, had his license suspended, and ordered to participate in the alcohol highway safety school program.
