A woman is facing multiple charges, including aggravated DWI, after an accident on Route 417 in Allegany. Sheriff’s deputies say that 24 year-old Kiersten Kennedy of Lawtons, NY was arrested after a roadside sobriety investigation revealed that she was intoxicated. During transport to the Allegany Police station Kennedy removed handcuffs and wrapped them around her hand, struck a deputy in the face with them and was placed back in custody after a struggle. The deputy was taken to Olean General Hospital for treatment of a laceration to the face. Kennedy was arraigned and sent to the Cattaraugus County Jail.
