The Yankees shut out the Seattle Mariners Wednesday 5-0. Rookie catcher Gary Sanchez homered again to pace the Yankees. Sanchez has hit seven home runs in the last nine games was walked twice intentional too and added a double. His home run in the first inning was all they needed. Mashiro Tanaka won his fourth straight start as the Yankees took two of three from the Mariners and won their third straight road series. Tanaka was shaky early, allowing six hits, but went 7 2/3 shutout innings to grab the win.
