Steven Matz and the New York Mets almost blew an 8-run lead, but ended up beating the Atlanta Braves 8-6.
Matz was pulled in the fifth inning after giving up the six runs. Hansel Robles threw 2 2/3 perfect innings to stop the Braves’ comeback. Jeurys Familia recorded the final four outs for his major league-leading 25th save.
