Former St. Bonaventure center Youssou Ndoye made his NBA debut Thursday in a preseason game with the San Antonio Spurs.
Ndoye played eight minutes in a reserve role, scored two points and grabbed two rebounds in a 95-92 loss to the Sacramento Kings in Sacramento.
Ndoye played with the Spurs’ summer league team and helped that club win the championship of the Las Vegas league. He was officially named to San Antonio’s training camp roster in late September.
Ndoye was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Defensive Team and garnered Atlantic 10 All-Conference Third Team honors last year as a senior. He was just one of two Atlantic 10 players to average a double-double at 11.8 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. He also averaged 2.6 blocks per contest. Ndoye led the Bonnies to a mark of 18-13 overall and 10-8 in the Atlantic 10.
The Spurs’ next preseason game is Monday, Oct. 12, at the Miami Heat.
