A man accused of stealing nearly $20,000 from his parents’ business, and another $1,100 from another business has waived his preliminary hearing.
Court papers say 51-year-old Timothy Zampogna of Kane is accused of stealing 43 checks from Flickerwood Wine Cellars between June 7, 2016, and January 3 of this year, and forging his mother’s name on them. He cashed them at several places.
On January 3 he tried to cash a check for $1,175 at the Kane Save-A-Lot on a closed account.
