Two men have been indicted by a federal grand jury for stealing guns from three Pennsylvania stores and taking them to Jamestown, New York.
36-year-old Jason Thorne and 31-year-old Ben McCormack, both of Jamestown, were caught after Jamestown police checked a gun Thorn had with him on June 17 and learned it had been stolen.
The US Attorney’s Office says Thorne and an unindicted co-conspirator broke into Arrowhead Outdoors in Tionesta and stole 28 guns; McCormack and an unindicted conspirator broke into Fulmer’s Sporting Goods in Bradford County and stole 29 guns; Thorne and McCormack stole 36 guns from GNR Sporting Goods in Mansfield, PA
Jamestown police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms were able to recover all the stolen guns.
Both men are in jail.
