A man is facing several charges after an incident early Saturday morning in Kane. Police say that a camera in the rear of the West Side Grill showed 36 year-old Joseph Phillips of Kane taking several items from a patron’s truck. Court records say a Kane patrolman went to an address on Tionesta Avenue and spotted Phillips, who appeared to be intoxicated, on the porch where swore at the officer, handed a container or baggie to a woman and then exposed his genitals to the officer. The confrontation then became physical and another officer responded along with several troopers who arrested Phillips. During the investigation police found a pipe and a prescription pill in his pockets, plus the missing items from the truck he broke into in his vehicle. Also, court records indicate that Phillips urinated in the Kane Borough’s holding center and failed to tell emergency staff at Kane Community Hospital he had hepatitus C.
