Only minor injuries were sustained in a head on collision in Smethport yesterday.
The Smethport Fire Department was dispatched to Route 6 near Pump Station Road for the collision, and found 43 year old Carrie Buchsenschutz of Port Allegany and an unnamed passenger trapped in their car after it had been struck head-on by a vehicle driven by 28 year old Brittany Andreano of Port Allegany.
The two were extracted from their vehicle, and all people involved were able to walk away from the accident, although Buchsenschutz and her passenger were taken to UPMC Cole for suspected minor injuries.
