A man Bradford man is in McKean County Jail on assault and robbery charges.
Court papers say 18-year-old Andrew Meadows and two other people were in a car on Boylston Street when they pulled up behind another vehicle that was parked in the road. Meadows talked to the woman in the car, and learned she and her husband were having an argument when he got out of the car. Meadows moved the car for her then found the woman’s husband and the other two people near the corner of Bishop and Forman streets. One of Meadows’ friends was trying to get the man’s keys from him. Meadows punched the man a couple of times and he fell to the ground. One of Meadows’ friends also hit the man, knocking him out.
Meadows then went through the man’s pockets and took his phone and $124 in cash which he used to buy cigarettes. The victim told police he had $300 with him. He was taken by ambulance to BRMC where he was treated for a broken jaw and other injuries.
Meadows is jailed in lieu of $75,000 bail. The other two people have not been charged.
