One man was seriously hurt in a crash Sunday night on Route 219 near Wilcox.
Police say 19-year-old Joshua Safeer of Pikesville, Maryland, fell asleep at the wheel at about 8:15 p.m., causing his car to go off the road, hit a mail box and a road sign, and then roll over several times.
One passenger, 20-year-old Michael Shokoff, was flown to UMPC Altoona for treatment of serious injuries. Safeer and another passenger, 19-year-old Gregory Bristol of Flemington, New Jersey, were both taken by ambulance to Penn Highlands Elk.
Safeer was cited for not staying in his lane.
