One man is dead following a crash involving a school bus on Route 16 in the Town of Ishua this morning.
Sheriff’s deputies say at about 9:05 a.m. a First Student bus was traveling north when it went into a ditch on the north side of the road. The driver, a 57-year-old man from Cheektowaga, was thrown from the bus. He was taken to Olean General Hospital, where he died. They did not release the man’s name.
A female bus monitor was taken to Olean General for treatment of minor injuries. No students were on the bus at the time of the crash.
Deputies are continuing their investigation.
