The NHL has in place the framework for its return to play plan. Players would be permitted to return to their team’s training facilities for on-ice and off-ice voluntary small-group individualized training activities in early June. The main issues are the players travel back to the team’s home city, testing for players and personnel, temperature and symptom checks, and more. Some players and personnel will have to serve a 14-day quarantine regardless of the mode of travel. The league is planning to return to play in July.
