Five new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in this area of Pennsylvania Friday, two in McKean County.
Elk, Potter and Jefferson counties each reported one more case. That’s 18 cases in those four counties, plus Warren and Cameron, since last Friday. Five of the new cases were in McKean County.
The confirmed McKean County cases are in Kane (8), Bradford (1-4), Port Allegany (1-4) and Shinglehouse (1-4). Eldred and Duke Center have probable cases. (The health department does not give an exact number until it reaches 5.)
78 percent of the people in Pennsylvania who have contracted the virus have recovered.
No new cases were reported in Cattaraugus, Chautauqua and Allegany counties as of noon Friday.
