Charges against a Bradford woman accused of threatening CYS workers with a knife have been bound to McKean County Court.
Court papers say 38-year-old Crystal Knell was distraught and got combative when caseworkers went to her home with a court order to remove her children. She grabbed and shoved one person, then got a large kitchen knife and waved it at the caseworkers before charging at them and holding the knife to the neck of one of them.
She’s free on bail.

Charges against a Bradford man accused of threatening to kill an Otto Township man have been bound to McKean County Court.
Court papers say state police were called to Sweitzer Drive on the night of July 6 and were told that 32-year-old Tony Joe McCormick called the victim and said he was going to go to his house and kill him in front of his family.
McCormick is charged with terrorist threats and four counts of harassment. They’re all misdemeanors.

Charges against one of the people accused of breaking into a home in the city while the resident was out of town have been bound to McKean County Court.
Court papers say 19-year-old Bailey Duell, along with Erica Herbstritt, kicked in the back door of a Pleasant Street home and, when neighbors confronted them, they lied and said they had permission to be there.
They’re both charged with criminal trespass and criminal mischief. Earlier this month, Herbstritt’s case was sent to county court, where she’s scheduled for a formal arraignment on August 20 and a Last Day to Plea on October 1.

A Bradford man accused of going into an apartment building — and an apartment — while he was drunk has waived his preliminary hearing.
Court papers say 33-year-old Sean Walker went to a Congress Street apartment, where the tenants didn’t know him. One of the tenants saw him sitting on stairs outside the apartment, moaning. Later, he went inside her apartment, sat on the couch and wouldn’t leave as she held the door open and told him he had to go.
By the time police got there, he had left that apartment but was in another hallway in the building. Police said he didn’t know where he was or where he had been throughout the evening.

Charges against a man accused of threatening to get a gun and shoot another person during bar fight whave been withdrawn.
The alleged incident involving 48-year-old James Sisler of Bradford happened in March at Players Downtown.
