An area bank is under scrutiny by the state Attorney General’s office.
Attorney General Josh Shapiro took action against Northwest Bank for alleged aggressive collection practices on car loans. Shapiro’s office got involved after the bank filed multiple collection suits against borrowers, while also allegedly sending letters threatening further legal action.
The bank hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing and customers qualifying for relief will be notified by the bank.
Northwest Savings Bank use to be a good bank but in the last 25 years they changed I had them for years. I canceled every account I had with them and I would never go back
