The City of Bradford has a new Chief of Police. Mayor James McDonald announced in a press release yesterday that he had appointed Acting Chief Mike Ward to the position permanently.
Mayor McDonald said in his release, “Chief Ward is thorough in his police work, is level-headed but tough on crime and is completely devoted to this city and the people who live here.” “I feel that he is uniquely qualified for the job and is the leader that our department needs.”
Prior to his appointment Chief Ward had served as the Assistant Chief for 10 years and was Acting Police Chief for 4 months.
