A fire at the Hull Hotel in Smethport on Saturday left residents homeless and resulted in 2 injuries. The fire originated in a common hallway between apartments while most of the tenants were out of the building. Residents from Apartment 6 who were in their home at the time, were both flown to UPMC Mercy. One of the injured parties has been released, the other remains in serious condition. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Damage to the building owned by Herzog Holdings is estimated at over $300,000.
