Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane has been named 2020 NFL Executive of the Year on Thursday by both Sporting News and the Pro Football Writers of America.
In Beane’s fourth season as general manager, the team went 13-3 in the regular season and playing in the AFC Championship Game this Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs will be Buffalo’s first appearance in the AFC title game in 27 years. Beane’s signature offseason move was acquiring wide receiver Stefon Diggs from the Minnesota Vikings
Beane is the second Bills executive to ever win the Sporting News award, joining Bill Polian, who won it in both 1988 in 1991. He is also the first Bills general manager to win the Executive of the Year honor from the PFWA.
