New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is proposing a law to ban discrimination against people who are vaccinated.
In his Monday press conference, Cuomo cited a recent case in Sullivan County where teenagers were not allowed to attend, and adults not allowed to work at, an Orthodox Jewish Summer Camp for boys if they had received the COVID-19 vaccine.
“We can’t be in a situation where we we’re full-throated encouraging people to get a vaccine and then have people saying if you get a vaccine, you can’t participate in this activity.”
Cuomo said he understands the arguments against vaccination, and that he believes they are baseless.
“In my opinion, there is no science to it. There is no science to it. You can have a theory, you can have a belief, but you can’t use that to make public policy without science and without data.”
