Criminal Investigation Launched Into Former K9 Officer's Death


The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office has opened an official criminal investigation into the death of a former K9 officer.

Former K9 Haso, who was retired from the Erie County, NY, Sheriff’s office went missing from his home in the town of Ashford the evening of April 24th.

On Friday a tip led detectives to a property in West Valley where Haso was found deceased. A necropsy is being performed to confirm time and cause of death.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
