There’s confusion about whether or not the Bradford Area School District is getting a safe schools grant from the State.
Bradford Area School District Superintendent Katherine Pude tells WESB News that the District applied for a grant in the amount of $29,235.98. But when grants were announced on Friday, the State announced a grant for that exact amount as being awarded to “The Bradford Area School District in Bradford County.”
There is no Bradford Area School District in Bradford County, and Pude said that as of Friday afternoon the District had not received word about its application from the State.
No one in the Department of Education was able to answer questions about whether or not the grant was intended for the BASD.
