A Fairport man is behind bars in Olean on drug charges.
The Olean Street Crimes Unit reports that around 8:15 Wednesday night, 37-year-old Chauncy Robinson was taken into custody after a traffic stop on Route 16 on an outstanding bench warrant for Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. A search of the vehicle reportedly turned up 41 grams of cocaine and approximately $4,800.00 in cash.
Robinson faces additional charges of Criminal Possession of a controlled substance. He is being held pending arraignment.
