An ATV accident in Alma left one person dead and another injured Thursday night, according to New York State Police.
According to police, 26-year-old Jesse Bestine and 25-year-old Zachary Barnett, both of Wellsville, were traveling east on County Road 38 the night of July 4, when they swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle, causing the ATV to overturn several times.
Barnett died at the scene. Bestine was transferred from Jones Memorial to Strong Hospital in Rochester with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
