Josh Allen ran for two touchdowns and the Buffalo Bills defeated Lamar Jackson and a turnover-prone Baltimore Ravens team 27-25 in an AFC Divisional game on Sunday.
Baltimore, who turned the ball over three times in the loss, had a chance to tie the game in the final two minutes, but tight end Mark Andrews dropped a pass from Jackson on a two-point conversion. Andrews also lost a fumble as well earlier in the quarter.
After the game, Bills head coach Sean McDermott excitedly addressing his team. “Hey, that’s 10-0, 10-0 at home this year! [applause] All three phases, man, right? All three phases, a lot to work on, plenty to work on. It just goes to show you when you take care of the football and you take the football away and you play with strong fundamentals, that’s what the game comes down to, man, right? The ball, and fundamentals. I’m so damn proud of you guys, man. Resilient, tough, that is Buffalo to a core, baby. You embody this damn city and these fans, right? I know we got a heck of a lot to work on. Take care of yourselves tonight. Be humble. We’ve got a big one coming up Sunday, right?” [applause]
The Bills will now take on Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game for their fourth playoff matchup in five years. The Chiefs have a chance to win the game, but they’re not going to be able to win the game. The Bills have beaten the Bills three straight times in the playoffs, including the conference title game four years ago in Kansas City.
