A Wellsville man was arrested for causing damages to the Allegany County Jail on Monday.
Deputies of the Allegany County Sheriff’s Department charged 46-year-old Christopher Jackson with reckless endangerment, obstruction of governmental administration and criminal nuisance.
The charges stem from an incident at the jail where Jackson allegedly damaged part of the fire suppression system on purpose, causing an activation of the system, resulting in water damage and loss of the system for a period of time.
Jackson was held at Allegany County Jail pending further court proceedings with charges pending.
