Two Little Valley men were arrested after a high-speed chase that began in Salamanca and went through several towns late Monday night.
Deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office charged 24-year-old Austin J. Harkins with Unlawful fleeing, reckless driving, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a suspended license and other traffic violations after allegedly driving a vehicle that fled from Salamanca Police after they attempted a traffic stop heading north to Rt. 353 from Center St.
Deputies observed the vehicle traveling through the Village of Little Valley at a high rate of speed through a stop sign and they attempted to stop the vehicle as well.
The vehicle continued to flee from deputies until the driver lost control in a field at the intersection of Tyler Whitmore and Lebanon Roads in Coldspring.
The passenger, 29-year-old Devin M. Frisicaro, had a violation of parole warrant issued through the NYS Department of Corrections.
Harkins was released with an appearance ticket and Frisicaro was held at the Cattaraugus County Jail.
