A Port Allegany man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend had his last date of plea in McKean County Court Thursday.
27-year-old Brian Austin Kuchinka pled not guilty to charges of homicide; three counts of felony aggravated assault, three counts of recklessly endangering another person, prohibited possession of a firearm and abuse of a corpse.
A large number of supporters of his alleged victim, 28-year-old K-Leigh Hill-Nelson, wearing purple “domestic violence awareness” shirts, attended his last day to plea.
The commonwealth offered a plea deal which would lead to life imprisonment without parole, which Kuchinka rejected.
The case will be listed for trial.
