Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC) and Olean General Hospital (OGH), Kaleida Health facilities, are proud to have presented the second bi-annual 2025 Golden Stethoscope Award to Tahir Chaudhry, DO, FACOG. Dr. Chaudhry is a women’s health physician specializing in obstetrics and gynecology at the Olean Medical Group (OMG).
The Golden Stethoscope Award is a result of nominations from employees and presented semi-annually to a physician who exhibits an exceptional level of professionalism, integrity and teamwork in caring for patients and families, as well as interacting with hospital staff members and fellow physicians. The award is presented to one physician throughout BRMC, OGH and physician practices who meets the standard of providing high quality patient care.
“Dr. Chauhdry has been a cornerstone of OB/GYN care at Olean General Hospital for more than two decades. His skill, dedication and compassion make him an invaluable part of our hospital and community,” read his nominations. “Patients and staff alike describe him as the “glue” that holds women’s health services together, always available, always approachable and always treating those around him like family.”
“Dr. Chauhdry goes above and beyond for his patients, whether it is guiding a family through a high-risk delivery, offering comfort in moments of loss or clearly explaining diagnoses and treatment options with patience and respect. His calm presence during urgent and emergent situations reassures patients and staff, while his quick thinking and expertise ensures the best possible outcomes. Time and time again, patients remark that his care is not only skilled but also deeply compassionate. He is, in their words, “a healer in the truest sense.”
“Equally respected by his colleagues, Dr. Chauhdry fosters teamwork and collaboration. He listens to nurses, values their input and supports staff through teaching and mentorship. He generously shares his knowledge with medical students and young providers, investing in the next generation of caregivers while ensuring excellence in patient care.”
“Beyond the hospital walls, Dr. Chauhdry is an advocate and community leader. He has supported patient education programs, provided critical resources during the COVID-19 pandemic and extended his care through medical missions abroad. His dedication to advancing women’s health and his commitment to serving others make him an outstanding role model.”
“There is no one more deserving of this recognition. Dr. Chauhdry embodies the highest ideals of medicine—compassion, integrity, leadership and excellence. He is a physician who truly makes a lasting difference in the lives of his patients, his colleagues and his community.”
