Sean Hvizdzak has plead guilty in federal court Monday to two wire fraud charges tied to a $31 million cryptocurrency hedge fund scheme after his brother Shane pled guilty last week.
Sean issued a statement in court, claiming his brother Shane was the ringleader of this scam and that this plea was less of an admission of heavy involvement and more of an effort to give closure to his family.
Sean’s attorney is arguing for zero to three months of incarceration, while his brother Shane is potentially facing about 15 years in jail.
Sean will be sentenced at 10 a.m. on Feb. 25.
