Three Olean organizations; Operation Warm Hearts of Olean, the Rotary Club of Olean and the Zonta Club of Olean; have joined forces to launch a community-wide food drive in lieu of the temporary discontinuation of SNAP benefits.
Nonperishable food items will be accepted and available through Nov. 15 at several locations in Olean such as:
- YMCA of the Twin Tiers, Lobby, 1101 Wayne St. Monday–Friday, 5 a.m.–9 p.m.; Saturday, 7 a.m.–4 p.m.; Sunday, 9 a.m.–1 p.m.
- Olean Public Library Information Desk, 134 N. Second St. Monday–Thursday, 9 a.m.–9 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
- Parent Education Program, 415 N. 8th St. Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
- Operation Warm Hearts, 920 N. 4th St., Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2–4 p.m.
- Tompkins Residence Porch, 126 S. 9th St., anytime.
