An extradition and bench warrant hearing was held in McKean County Court Thursday for a Marshburg woman who failed to appear to her sentencing in August.
61-year-old Sharon Vandrish was convicted in June of 2 counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person with a Deadly Weapon and 2 counts of Terroristic Threats with a Deadly Weapon.
While her attorney argued that the bench warrant should be vacated and that she had missed sentencing due to circumstances beyond her control, DA Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer pointed out that Vandrish had deliberately chosen not to attend sentencing and pointed out that Homeland security has a warrant for her, as she’s originally from Canada.
Judge Pavlock revoked bail and she will remain in McKean County Jail until sentencing.
