A Kane man pled guilty to attempting to possess child porn in McKean County Court Thursday.
43-year-old Jason George Gorrie pled guilty to felony Attempted Sexual Abuse of a Child (commonly referred to as Child Pornography), felony Use of a Communication Facility and using a communication device to facilitate the crime of Attempted Sexual Abuse of Children.
The charges stem from Gorrie allegedly attempting to obtain child pornography through messages with an adult decoy working with a group called “814PredHunters” back in July.
Specifically, Gorrie admitted that he thought he was communicating with a 15-year-old girl and asked nine times to send him nude photos and to video-chat with him while she was in the shower.
As required by Pennsylvania law, Gorrie was ordered to undergo an evaluation by the Sexual Offender Board who has 90 days to complete the evaluation.
Sentencing has been scheduled for March 5th.
