The Bradford City Firefighters were recently awarded a grant through the Lt. Joseph P. DiBernardo Memorial Foundation and the Leary Firefighters Foundation for over $18,000 for twenty-eight firefighter bailout kits.
A bailout kit is deployed by a firefighter who is trapped and has no other option other than to bailout a window for self rescue.
In a post on the department’s Facebook page, they thanked everyone that helped make this happen to ensure that the firefighters have the equipment to safely escape a fire.
