A Kane man was sentenced to state prison on Thursday for assaulting an elderly female relative.
49-year-old Richard Fetzeck was given an aggravated sentence for assaulting and severely injuring a 70-year-old female relative he was living with. Finding that both the circumstances of the crime and the offender’s history justified an aggravated sentence, Judge Pavlock sentenced Fetzeck to 6 to 24 months in state prison, without the possibility of early parole. Because this is a case of domestic violence, Fetzeck is prohibited from possessing a firearm, and will also have to pay restitution to his victim.
