An Olean woman was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop on W Green St early Thursday morning.
Deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office charged 43-year-old Beth A. Ray with Tampering with Physical Evidence, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia, Operate Uninspected Motor Vehicle and traffic infraction.
During the interaction, Ray allegedly dropped a piece of tinfoil with suspected crack on the ground in attempt to prevent deputies from finding it while outside of the vehicle.
A vehicle search allegedly found another container with crack cocaine inside of it, packaging material, and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.
Ray was processed and released on an appearance ticket and multiple uniform traffic tickets and is due in the City of Olean Court at a later date for further proceedings.
