An Eldred man was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop on W State St late Thursday night.
Deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office charged 40-year-old Ronald R. McGonigle, the passenger of the vehicle, with felony possession of a Stimulant with Intent to Sell, Use of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
During the traffic stop, McGonigle was allegedly found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and had drug paraphernalia in plain view on the driver’s seat of the vehicle.
McGonigle allegedly also had 13.1 grams of methamphetamine and a quantity of drug packaging material.
McGonigle was released with an appearance ticket and the driver of the vehicle was issued a Uniform Traffic Ticket.
The Olean Police Department assisted Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Deputies with the traffic stop.
McGonigle is to appear in Olean City Court at a later date.
