Bradford is mourning the loss of a young child after a fatal fire at 37 Jackson Ave late Tuesday afternoon.
At about 4:55, the City of Bradford Fire Department was dispatched for a residential structure fire reporting heavy amounts of fire and smoke and flames through the roof.
A 2-year-old boy was transported to Bradford Regional Medical Center where, despite life-saving efforts by first responders and emergency medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries.
At this time, the fire is believed to be accidental.
The City of Bradford Police & Fire Departments, along with the Pennsylvania State Police and McKean County District Attorney’s Office are jointly investigating the fire.
