A man was indicted by The Cattaraugus County Grand Jury in relation to a felony theft case reported in Olean from last August and allegedly escaping custody last December.
John Shayne-Arthur Emond Jr. was indicted for felony burglary, felony criminal mischief, petit larceny, possession of stolen property, escape and criminal tampering.
On Aug 30, 2025, Emond allegedly entered or remained unlawfully in a building, with intent to commit a crime and with intent to damage property of another person exceeding $250 and knowingly possessed stolen property. Emond Jr. also allegedly tampered with another’s property and escaped from custody Dec 11.
