Bradford’s Jordan Thompson is making his presence felt at the PIAA Individual State Wrestling Championships in Hershey. Thompson opened the tournament Thursday with a commanding tech fall victory over Doug McKim of Huntingdon — winning 15 to nothing at the 4 minute 13 second mark — the most dominant kind of win in wrestling short of a pin.
The third-ranked 160-pounder in Class AA now moves into Friday’s quarterfinals at the Giant Center, where the bracket tightens and every match gets harder. Thompson won the Northwest Regional title last week at Sharon High School and is an Edinboro University commit — a kid Bradford has watched grow into one of the best wrestlers in the state.
Medal rounds are Saturday morning. Bradford is watching.
