A Jamestown man was arrested on both a warrant and drug charges after a traffic stop near Prather St. this afternoon.
Deputies of the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office charged 26-year-old Devonte Green with felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and numerous vehicle and traffic tickets.
The charges stem from deputies and the Jamestown Police Department executing a search warrant at the upper apartment at 313 Prather St. in Jamestown.
Green, who had a New York State Parole arrest warrant, was observed leaving the residence in a vehicle prior to the search warrant being executed.
Jamestown Police Department attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Green who continued for a short distance in the vehicle and attempted to escape on foot.
Investigators allegedly seized 2.3 grams of fentanyl and 4.7 grams of psilocybin mushrooms from the apartment and vehicle.
Green was transported to the Jamestown Police Department and will be arraigned on all charges in the City of Jamestown Court.
